Since 1979, NEDCO has developed projects that strengthen low-income households and the neighborhoods in which they live and work. Our mission is to “collaboratively build human and capital assets to strengthen neighborhoods and broaden participation in community ownership and governance.” The Homeownership Center of Lane County is an integral component of our work, and the homeownership education programs we have offered since 1994 demonstrate the transformative power of increased self-sufficiency, improved financial literacy, and greater housing security for low-income individuals and families throughout Lane County.

We offer Homeownership IDA’s.

The mission of St. Vincent de Paul is to assist the poor and those in need of consolation.  Our Board of Directors, volunteers, and staff carry out this mission through three main areas: emergency services for homeless families and individuals, affordable housing, and jobs/training through recycling businesses.  This outreach can be as local as a food box delivered to a hungry family or as far-reaching as importing furniture that was headed for a landfill from the United Kingdom.  Proceeds from our seven retail thrift stores and recycling operations help fund our charitable activities.  In everything we do, we try to alleviate immediate suffering, help people have the opportunity to build a better life, and be good stewards of resources.

St. Vincent de Paul partners with other agencies in the county to offer IDA’s for homeownership, post-secondary education, home repair and rehabilitation, workforce training, and need-based adaptive and specialized equipment.  At this time, we are referring individuals interested in small business IDA’s to Lane MicroBusiness.
