About VIDA

The Valley Individual Development Accounts (VIDA) Program is the largest Individual Development Account program collaborative in the State of Oregon.

With thirty-eight member agencies in more than twenty-five counties, VIDA is present in urban as well as rural areas, supporting people with home buying, small business development, home repair or rehabilitation, adaptive equipment or technology to obtain or maintain employment, or post-secondary education/workforce training.

Community and Shelter Corporation (CASA of Oregon) is the administrator and fiduciary organization behind the collaborative. As such, CASA of Oregon oversees daily program operations, coordinates fundraising and provides technical assistance to VIDA member organizations.

CASA of Oregon is a private, 501(c) 3 non-profit organization established in 1988 with a mission to develop housing, programs, and facilities that promote the quality of life and self-sufficiency of farm workers and their families.  Since its inception, CASA of Oregon has worked primarily with local community organizations and housing sponsors to develop housing and to assist in programs improving conditions for farm workers and their families. With the VIDA collaborative, CASA of Oregon is able to include more farm workers and families in asset building.
